Norwegian-welted boots, the signature style of Bottega Paolo Mariani. Approximately 500 all-hand stitches around the edge unite the upper leather parts and the sole which lead the robust, substantial structure.
Kudu leather is utilized to add the unique and antique texture for the boots shown in Photo 2. A kudu is the woodland antelope found in Africa, with apparently similar appearance as a deer.
Available also some sporty models, such as mountain boots, besides the classic, dressy items.
A box for each shoe (total 2 boxes per pair), another iconic symbol of Bottega Paolo Mariani, in order not to overlap within the same box.
Mariani explains the reason of this protecting separation as “to cherish each shoe as maximum as possible – even just the tiny hit can result in rubbing”.
Loafer in crocodile leather (2nd from the left). The modern, stylish kick thanks to its distinctive color totally elevates this classic shoe whole up to the next level.
An Oxford shoe (whose eyelet for lacing is stitched underneath the vamp), adequate especially for sophisticated occasion. Its distinctive color is the gift thanks to the harmony of bordeax and mustard blended in perfection to match his inspiration.
Derby shoe (whose eyelet for lacing is stitched over the vamp) in swede. Mariani’s hands magically realize the perfectly well-balanced effortless-elegant model.
The impression of Japan to the young talented artisan : “I do think that Japan is, well, a neat, organized, country of silence – it is totally different from Italy, which sometimes can be a little too chaotic, you know”.
